I feel extremely fortunate for the opportunities I have had to be able to travel around the US and the globe. It started around the time that I was able to drive my own car. I would take short road trips over the nearby canyons to the small towns nearby. Then I would make my way up to nearby Provo, a metropolis compared to my small town. Eventually I would take a drive up to Salt Lake City to experience the culture and city life that could be found nowhere nearer than Las Vegas or Denver. Soon, a friend offered to take me on a trip to San Francisco. This was my first non-family vacation that I would go on where I was in charge, or at least a major part of the decision making process. Since then, my thirst to see new places and try new things has only grown.
